Screening of the award-winning feature film, ‘Ek Jagah Apni’ by Ektara Collective, which offers a glimpse into the lives of the transgender community in the city of Bhopal. The film follows the two transwomens’ lives, as they search for a house to rent and shows the challenges they face in their daily lives. The film has won the FFSI K. R Mohanan Certificate of Merit and an International Jury Special Mention for both the lead actors at the International Film Festival of Kerala (2022), Audience Choice Award at the SXSW Film & TV Festival (2023), HIVOS Free To Be Me Award at Roze Filmdagen, 26th Amsterdam LGBTQ+ Film Festival (2023) and the Special Jury Mention, Kashish Film Festival (2023).
