J. Devika is a noted Malayali historian, trenchant feminist, social critic, and academic from Kerala. She currently researches and teaches at the Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram as a professor. She comments widely on Indian politics and culture and has closely interacted with the Hema Committee proceedings.

She will speak about the Malayali film world and the Hema committee and interact with students and activists.
