Garment Kelsa: Women and Work delves into the lives of five women garment workers in urban and rural Bengaluru, highlighting their critical yet often overlooked role in global fashion supply chains. The documentary sheds light on their challenges, including low wages, long working hours, and the impact of precarious employment on their families. It is based on Cividep’s report, The Home and the World of Work: Examining the Intersections of Gender, Labour, and Capital in Karnataka's Apparel Export Industry, and aims to amplify the voices of women in the garment industry.
